Rabbit
Catch the rabbit by winning a hole — but anyone can steal it from you.
3–5 playersEasy to learnBetting optional
How to play
- •The rabbit is unclaimed at the start. The first player to win a hole outright (no ties) catches the rabbit.
- •The rabbit stays with that player until someone else wins a hole outright — then it moves.
- •If a hole is tied, the rabbit doesn't move. The current holder keeps it.
- •The rabbit is locked in at the end of hole 9 — whoever holds it at that point wins the front 9 bet.
- •The rabbit is released again at hole 10 and the chase restarts for the back 9.
- •Win both the front and back rabbit to win the overall pot.
Example — holes 1 through 4
Holes 1 and 2 tie — no one has the rabbit. Tom wins hole 3 outright — he catches the rabbit. Hole 4 ties — Tom keeps it. Ali wins hole 5 — the rabbit moves to Ali.
Setup — before you tee off
- 1Enter 3–5 player names.
- 2Set a bet for the front rabbit, back rabbit, and optionally a bonus for holding both (e.g. $5 / $5 / $10).
- 3Enter scores hole by hole. The app shows who currently holds the rabbit and locks it at hole 9 automatically.
Pro tip
The rabbit creates great tension on hole 9 and hole 18 — the current holder is trying to halve the hole, while everyone else is trying to win it outright. Drama guaranteed.
Variations
One rabbit (18 holes)
No split at hole 9 — one rabbit runs the full 18. Whoever holds it at the end wins everything.
Double rabbit
Two rabbits in play simultaneously. Catching a second rabbit when you already hold one earns a bonus.
